If you are interested in one of the dogs, please inform yourself in advance about:
the dog regulation in your respective federal state
the applicable dog tax
the landlord’s permit for keeping dogs – if necessary
a pet owner liability insurance for dogs
listed or facility dogs
the respective certificate of competence from the veterinary office
Unfortunately, certain breeds of dogs (also called list or facility dogs) such as the American Staffordshire Terrier are still on the lists of dangerous dogs according to state laws.
